Welcome to the Terms and Conditions of Talk Dutch Today!

These terms and conditions govern Talk Dutch Today's provision of Dutch language lessons. By enrolling in and participating in our Dutch lessons, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions. Please review them thoroughly.

Cancellation Policy:
a. If you cannot join a session, lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. This way, the lesson will be credited back for rescheduling.
b. To cancel a lesson, please notify Talk Dutch Today via email at info@talkdutchtoday.nl.
c. Lessons not cancelled within the specified time frame will be delivered and charged accordingly.
d. Lessons are non-refundable outside the trial period.
e. Lessons bought with the addition of the Flexible Short Notice Cancellation Package can be cancelled up to 1 hour before the start time, with a maximum of 50% of the bought number of lessons to avoid abuse.
f. We understand that life can get busy, and sometimes unforeseen circumstances may arise that require cancelling a lesson. Lessons can be cancelled without providing a reason up to 24 hours before the scheduled session. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the lesson at a convenient time. Please note that lessons cancelled within the 24-hour window will not be credited back to the student.
g. If the instructor encounters technical issues, such as internet problems or computer issues, that result in a cumulative downtime of more than 10 minutes during the lesson, the lesson will be credited back to the student. However, the lesson will not be credited back if the student experiences computer or internet issues.
h. All 20 and 40-lesson packages include a 24-hour trial period. If a student is unsatisfied with the lesson quality, we provide a 100% money-back guarantee during this trial period. Following the initial lesson, the student may request a full refund without justification. To request a refund, please email info@talkdutchtoday.nl with your details and a refund request within 24 hours of the first lesson. Refunds will not be processed after the trial period. Note that 100% refunds will be issued, deducting only necessary administrative, international bank fees, and other unforeseen banking expenses, up to a maximum of 50 EUR/USD.
i. The 24-hour cancellation policy does not apply to group lessons. If a participant is unable to join a scheduled group lesson for any reason, lessons will not be credited back. Only in extreme circumstances, such as severe illness or other life-threatening situations, will lessons be considered for individual credit back, at the sole discretion of Talk Dutch Today.

  1. Talk Dutch Today reserves the right to make decisions regarding lesson rescheduling or credit back in cases of extreme circumstances, and their decisions are final and binding. Participants in group lessons agree to adhere to this policy and understand that individual credit back for missed group lessons is not guaranteed.

 


Late to Class Policy:
a. The instructor should never be late to a class. If the instructor is more than 5 minutes late to a scheduled class, the student has the right to request that the lesson be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time. Please do so within 24 hours from the beginning of the lesson's start time. We prioritize punctuality and professionalism and aim to prevent delays in lesson commencement. Instructor punctuality is our priority. 
b. If the student is late to a class, the lesson or time will not be returned.
c. Any overtime provided by the instructor is at their discretion and will not incur additional charges for the student.
d. If the student arrives late, exceeding 50% of the scheduled class time, the lesson may be terminated and charged accordingly. The total duration of the lesson will be counted and not credited back.


Lesson Validity Policy:
a. Lesson packages with 20 sessions are valid for six months from the date of purchase, and lesson packages with 40 sessions are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase.
b. If a lesson package expires, any remaining lessons will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed or refunded.


Payments Policy:

b. The amount paid for lessons is non-refundable, except as specifically mentioned in these terms and conditions.
c. Separate lessons must be paid 24 hours before the start of the lesson.
d. Lesson packages must be paid seven working days before the start of the first lesson.
e. The Flexible-Add-on package is valid upon receipt of payment and valid for the duration associated with the package.


Changes to Lessons Policy:
a. Talk Dutch Today reserves the right to change lesson schedules, curriculum, and teaching methods if necessary, in case of illness, absence, or unavailability of the instructor. Our objective is to minimize changes as much as possible.


Intellectual Property Policy:
a. Talk Dutch Today's teaching materials, including lesson plans, handouts, and exercises, remain its intellectual property. They are intended for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without explicit permission.
b. Student privacy is respected, and personal information is kept confidential. Student names and details are not shared with external entities, individuals, or advertising agencies. Lessons may be recorded at the student's request for personal review. While lesson material may be used for promotional purposes, students will be informed beforehand.


Limitation of Liability:
a. Talk Dutch Today shall not be liable for any incomplete, mistakes, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to the use of our Dutch lessons.


Professional Learning Environment Policy:
a. All participants are expected to maintain a professional and conducive learning environment during lessons.
b. Participants should attend lessons in a reasonably quiet space to enhance class productivity. Lessons conducted in a noisy atmosphere may be terminated, resulting in the forfeiture of any refund or rescheduling rights.


Student Satisfaction Policy:
a. At Talk Dutch Today, we strive for 100% student satisfaction. Individuals not satisfied with the lesson delivered are encouraged to communicate their concerns with the instructor during class or submit a formal complaint to info@talkdutchtoday.nl.
b. Our commitment to quality is unwavering. In the event that a student does not find satisfaction in the lesson, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee within the trial period. Following the initial lesson, the student is entitled to request a full refund without providing a reason. To initiate the refund process, simply email info@talkdutchtoday.nl containing your details and the request for a refund within 24 hours of the commencement of the first lesson. Refunds will no longer be processed after this period. Please note that 100% refunds will be issued, deducting only the expenses related to administration costs and international bank fees and other unforeseen banking costs, capped at a maximum of 50 EUR/USD.
c. All complaints will be handled professionally, with care, sensitivity, and respect for student feedback and experiences.

d. d. No refunds will be issued after 2 weeks of the payment or 24 hours after the first lesson, whichever comes first. Refunds requested after this period will not be processed.
e. Changes to the Student Satisfaction Policy posted on the Talk Dutch Today website will be considered the most current version. Students are advised to regularly review the website for any updates or amendments to this policy. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website.
